I would love to have any suggestion, idea, piece of advice, or memory of your own wedding that could help make my wedding as special and unique as possible. Anything from food to favors to music... anything at all.

I practically made my entire wedding, here is one of the many things I did:

Unity Candle- First, the unity candle was right outside the sanctuary. I had the parents light it before people starting arriving. When we left the church we lit the center candle so people could see it as they walked out. (Time saver!)
We bought a really nice candle from a local candle maker and bought two cheep wine goblets. We put glass marbles in the goblets and votive in the goblets. (Make sure the goblets are tempered or the candle is in a votive holder before it is put in the goblet.) We then put flat marbles around the candle bought at the candle shop. It looked beautiful!

#1 take a moment alone w/ your new husband. with all the commotion at the reception- you will be whisked off to greet your guests and cut the cake- throw the bouquet etc. it really pays to just step aside (sneak away) for 5minutes to hug eachother and really realize that you just got married. then go back in for more fun and chaos :D
#2 looking back at photos, I see that most maids and brides hold the bouquet too high up. it covers the top of the dress and that is usually the prettiest part. hold your flowers lower- even when walking down the aisle so that your lovely dress gets in the pics!
#3 it's fine to save money on many wedding items. but the place I wouldn't skimp on is the photos. after the big day: the flowers wilt/ the cake is gone/ guests fly home/ the dress goes off for cleaning. But the photos. the photos will last forever. get the best you can!
#4 all the guests really remember the details. really pay attention to the small little details that will make your day special. i can't even count the # of compliments i received b/c i remembered to place flowers/candles/ special soap&lotion in the restrooms. stuff like that. :)
Hope this helps!

One thing that will always be remembered by us as well as our wedding guests was ...

Underneath the bridesmaids bouquets were tied these beautiful crystal bells that I had purchased and taken to the florist. I rang alot of bells before I got the tones right ( and they weren't all the same!). During the last prayer of the ceremony, the girls pulled the little piece of tissue that had kept them silent. As we walked out of the church...everyone could hear the beautiful sound of wedding bells! They were also a nice keepsake for the ladies, but at the reception everyone was commenting on the gorgeous sounds and how fantastic it was (they never knew where the music was coming from either!).

Good Luck

Keep things in perspective. It is one day out of a life of many days. It will not be perfect, accept that ahead of time, knowing that things do not need to be perfect to be beautiful. Prepare as best you can, without making yourself or anyone else crazy and then when the day comes. When the day comes all that will be left to do is show up and let go. All happiness to you on that special day and the days that follow!
