It's sometimes called a conservatory (i.e. in the USA: Peabody Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, New England Conservatory)
Others are just called "Schools".
i.e. Juilliard School
Manhattan School of Music
Mannes College of Music
Curtis Institute of Music
I think it costs about the same as regular universities.

How about you post a new question that directly asks for what YOU are looking for, rather than what someone else is doing. Also clarify that you are in England, and specify what level schooling you're looking for. Since you are still a child (I see that you can't drive yet), are you looking for a performing arts school for now, or later for college? What are you hoping to do in the performing arts? Acting? After you clarify your thoughts on this subject, write out your question to look something like this:

Is there a performing arts boarding school in England that you could recommend?
(Add details:) I want to study ______ at the ______ school level. If you know of any good performing arts day schools near _____, please give me that information as well. Also include the cost of tuition, if you know it.

I hope that will help you get better information for what you're looking for.

I'm not sure about costs yet, as I am still in the process of looking at Uni's etc, but to me it sounds like you are looking to study at a conervetoire (for music anyways).

The ones I am looking at are:
Royal Academy of Music
Royal College of Music
Guildhall School of Music and Drama
Trinity College of Music

They all offer a wide range of courses - I suggest you find their websites and have a look!! Hope that Helps!

I've just finished a post grad at Trinity College of Music in London. You can't board there, although there are a couple of independent halls of residence that you can look into, but moving into a shared house is probably cheaper - we pay £266 a month rent. My course (Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Performance) costs around £5000, although it's probably gone up this year.
