its not about religion besides taking that away takes away free will. people need something to believe in or their lost.......your idea is good because it is a main staple in peoples not getting along but instead of stamping out religion (think about the crusades and how horrible that was)the focus should be on getting people to accept/not care about ones personal thoughts...if we could just see one another as individuals and respect that the world would be a better place.....simply put "respect and love thy neighbor" and im not even christian......i dont care about how or what people think as long as they treat me with respect and i try very hard to treat people the way i want to be treated...if we just understood that no matter the religion we all need and deserve the same basic things and want whats best overall....you cannot bring your personal feelings to the table when your discussing UNBIASEDLY what will FACTUALLY be best because in that aspect religion doesnt matter

Go for it...you have my backing. Unfortunately, you will wipe out the few religious people who really do excellent work on Earth. I suggest that we NOT judge all religious people by what we see here at Yahoo...honestly, only a large handful of people are zealots, fantatics, and lunatics.

You can enlightened people. Your window is coming on December 20, 1012 11.11PM.
Let The 4th dimension be open to human beings again, and no more religions, no more false prophets, no more war, no more hunger.
You can do it.

Actually, religious people have proved very productive. Look at the lands they have gained throughout history at the expense of slaughtered innocents. And all in the name of their God. Doubtless they will continue to do so.

HAHA Your question is self-contradictory. To stamp out religion implies violence; and then violence brings peace. To stamp out innocent people is hardly peaceful; it would only leave those who were selfish at best, evil at worst.

it's impossible, although i believe that may help out ALOT of problems in the world, people are just too clingy to religion and perhaps if they were more lenient, then it wouldn't really matter whether they were in a religion ro not

You can sign me up in your campaign. We're all hippies in our own right, I guess. 'We' being all those who agree with you. John Lennon would have been our spokesperson!
Even if some are goths, we're all still hippies!
If I join, I want a special title. Like 'General of Black Masses', and I'll be in charge of the propaganda. Yay!
Keep me posted on the campaign!

It is not possible. We all have a need to believe in a higher being, something better. Even in ancient Egypt, they believed in golden idols. Those to them were gods.
