A "religion" constructed on a dare at a cocktail party..no more, no less. Built entirely on common sense with a smattering of psychobabble thrown in, it attracts the wealthy and gives them sense of purpose that I don't understand. It is a simplistic set of ideals built on a single tenat, "I'm Ok, Your Ok". From that simple statement, many little side laws have been/are built to form a doctrine of nonsense. It would seem, that like any 'religion,' the longer it is around, the more fanatical it becomes....note Tom Cruise's antics as of late. Totally off the deep end, but I see that in most religions...some people cannot find anything but fault in others in following their faith...must be very comfortable living in the Ivory Tower that many religious zealots build for themselves.

Thank you for affirming my strong opposition to this dangerous cult, I shall continue to seek out scientology questions on this site and post copious amounts of negative material, as is my freedom of speech whether scientology likes it or not.

You are right, it is not a laughing matter.

If you are going to be critical of scientology, I would hide your email address - you never know what they might do next...

I don't really care for Scientology or more "traditional" religious beliefs, but I do have to say that Scientology is far more realistic than what the bible tells us.

I know relatively little about it, and unfortunately those that want to spread what it is (most notably Tom Cruise) sound crazy and very unstable. I seriously doubt it is as bad as it sounds after Mr. Cruise, but I don't know where to find information on it so I can make my own decision on it. If anyone knows where I could read up on it, I would like to know.

Somewhere L.Ron looks down and just laughs like hell at the running joke he played on so many people.
