I want to become one of the characters in Disney because I just love to bring smiles to people's faces, I get along great with kids, and I adore dressing up (halloween is my fave holiday for that reason) Is there a specific way to get there? Is there a college for that kind of thing? Do I need to be a sports team's mascot first?

None of the above. All you have to do is apply. They may start you out doing something else, and you'll have to work your way up to Character.

Go on the disney careers website. They have casting calls for all of their characters. Most of the characters are aspiring actors.

I used to work for Disney, what you need to do is wait for open casting, you can also call the recuitment office I don't have the number with me now, but if you like I can e-mail it to you later.
