So stop calling it a fact. None of us were there. But there is evidence for each side. Which do want to believe? Sometime about a billion years ago life formed out of non-life? Or an all-powerful God created Adam and Eve foe the purpoise of fellowshipping with Him. Do some research yourselves, don't believe one website. Read some books, they're usually more reliable. Personally I'm a Creationist, and I'm convinced.

It's not faith, because it IS a theory. The people who say things like, Evolution proves there is no god (ridiculous) or that it's a fact(also ridiculous) are seriously just putting faith in what they've been taught, like creationists. It's ridiculous, and they give science a bad name. But scientists who work off of the THEORY of evolution to explain things in the world aren't using faith, their making observations and assigning causes for it using reason. It's called science because it's measurable, repeatable, and predictable. Something that faith based claims can never be.
That's why there's no competition. Your faith is in something that happened once, cannot be measured, and isn't predictable. That's why it's not science. It's not a valid way of predicting what will happen based on observation. Like evolution is.
Did that explain it for you? There's a big difference. Unfortunately reason is the least taught subject in school.

Well, besides the usual drek about evolution not being a fact, I see a new interpretation of why we (humanity) were created. Fellowshipping (a new verb for me) with God. From my dictionary (please feel free to do some actual research and look it up), fellowship would imply that God considered man an equal or a friend. Somehow, I don't think so.

Evolution was born of human beings observing the world around them and asking questions that the Bible couldn't answer. The facts (yes facts) about what we see in our biological research of DNA and genes are clear. Evolution is real. The science behind it has led us out of the darkness of believing that the world is flat and that the heavenly bodies revolve around the earth.

Science does not fear challenges to its theories or established beliefs. On the contrary, it thrives on being shown (scientifically) that is wrong. Science does not care if you believe in it or not. It only demands that you do the honest hard research to either prove or disprove its theories.

It's not about reading books about what other people think. It's about rolling up your sleeves, studying the scientific methods involved, and learning the facts that have been challenged by many yet hold as evidence that evolution marches on.

Not at all. There is far far more evidence to support evolution. We know the earth came into being around 4.4 million years ago (fossil records). It would have been an inhospitable planet for millions of years until the advent of microscopic bacteria as the planet cooled and became less poisonous. I could go on but your mind is made up. Even though there are some, albeit scewed, facts in the bible. The Adam and Eve story is complete nonsense. In your defence, it is a story that our ancestors could believe as it helps exlainan their origins as they had no facts to go in. Nowadays of course it's ludicrous. And as science progresses the Bible and certainly your God will have an ever decreasing place or meaning on this planet. Amen.

On one hand yes, faith is needed for either side. But the "Facts" point at evolution. There really isn't any scientific evidence for Adam and Eve. But since as you say "none of us were there" there isn't any means of documentation except the earth's strata and the carbon dating of materials. Oddly enough none of the evidence shows one week no trees animals and people then, POOF next week people, plants and animals. ...and how do we account for all of the OTHER religions and their creation stories? They would be just a correct as creation. . . man riding a huge turtle out of the sea. . . aliens placing us here. . .people being made out of clay and brought to life.. . etc etc.

It makes one think... but it doesn't so much change our lives today now does it? So why waist so much time and energy on a creation myth that is meant to teach us a story. It was never meant to be a fact. Remember that the bible is filled with parables, not direct quotations and not documented history.

Evolution is many different theories, to which can be re-created on certain levels and observed. Please re-create Creation (without use of any other materials, since God did not use any materials, just his Words) and allow us to observe it.
Science does not take faith to believe in... no more than it takes faith to believe in the use of the Internet. One can see it's very easy to believe in both, as Evolution does NOT state that there is no God. It doesn't even attempt to prove or disprove. Only people who want to take it that far.
One simple thing that shows evolution, on a small level, is fact... the Influenza bug keeps getting worse, every year... and what does the Medical field tell us? We need to make a stronger medicine for this NEW strain of the Influenza bug. "New"? well now, something in that bug changed, didn't it?

It does not take faith at all to believe that we evolved. Why? Because with Science we can see how it happened. It just makes sense, so no faith is required. Whereas if you believe in the Creation theory, you have no "proof" whatsoever. You need faith to believe. I don't think either belief is wrong, it's whatever works for you. I am not saying that I don't believe in a God, however, I do believe that God is energy, and the Universe is energy(Science proves that too!).

We are not part of a creation or evolution. We are the result of intervention by third parties. it has been documented by thousand of years.
How do you combine this.
Food.
Domestication of plants started 10000 years ago, on the valleys of Iraq, Iran Turkey and Syria.
Two thousand years later, started on the highland of Central America.
High altitude cultivation is much more intensive than in valleys.
Also the transformation from wild grains and grasses into food stuff has not been replicated on 5000 years.
So who did stone age hunter altered genetic structures on plants to make them digestible to human being?
Moderns Maize (corn) was genetically altered by stone age man?
Originally the Teosinte grass has many stalks and is indigestible to human beings. How did it change to be digestible staple food that we all know.
And of course, let's no forget cotton this is a good one for evolutionists.
We have cotton from the old world (Eurasia) and cotton from the new world (Americas). How come the cotton from Hawaii is and hybrid between new world cotton and old world cotton?
The first human being to arrive to Hawaii was captain Cook in 1778.
We can go on and on, but we have been modified on a lab of Who that is the questions, another civilization, another gods, or what?

There is NO evidence whatsoever for creationism!

As for evolution, there have been bones dug up. Dinosaurs, and the like.

And also, you can trace the history of the horse's evolution with the bones and teeth paleontologists have dug up.

I have read many books, studied evolution at school, researched a lot on the matter, and there is more proof of it than for your theories, for which there is none.

You may be convinced in Creationism, but it doesn't gel in my head. I can't accept it. The theory of evolution makes more sense to me.

Counter-question: Do you believe that the world and all its creatures are the same now as they were when they were created? -and- Have you ever considered that maybe both are partially right? Most arguments have valid points on each side.

You have a great point...I do agree with you. But, unfortunately, it has not answered anything. The evolutionists are convinced that they have proof. They are convinced that Creationist know nothing and we believe in a magic feeling. They want/need 'hard' proof...which God will NEVER allow them to have. It IS about Faith, but the God we believe in WILL NOT prove or show Himself to them, for their hearts are hardened and they have been given over to them.
