I am 18 years old and about 7 weeks pregnant ... I've always been pretty slim with high metabolism but I'm guessing that'll go away soon ... I'd like to keep my figure for a while

Gained 50 and lost 50 with little to no effort. Typical household chores (walking the stairs to do numerous loads of laundry) combined with the errands that needed to be run like doctors appointments, diaper runs etc. Just do it in moderation and dont be in such a hurry. Society understands you just had a baby and we're not celebs who have trainers so we're not all expected to be totally fit days after birth. Just eat healthy and do some light excercise.

It depends on several factors such as : How old you are; whether or not this is your first, second or third (or more) child; how much weight you gained during your pregnancy and how active you were while pregnant.

Also: what was your figure like before your pregnancy. For instance, if you had a hard body before pregnancy, chances are you will bounce back to that firm shape. But if you weren't athletic then and had little muscle tone, pregnancy didn't help that.

Unless you are breast feeding, the weight loss will be the same as if you had gained weight without being pregnant. Exercise and eating right will help you to lose weight.

Don't expect overnight miracles unless you can afford a personal trainer and special chef to cook you all the right foods.

Take care of yourself - being a good mother is tiring!

Well I gained almost 90lbs with my son who is now 3, about 7 months ago I finally reached my "happy weight", here is the kicker though, I am also 7 months Pregnant right now ha ha! But with this one I haven't gained even the 35 ideal lbs yet, I think it depends on how much you gain, because in my 1st pregnancy, I worked 40+ hours a week running all around lots of exercise, this one I have sat on my butt the whole time and gained less..... so the best thing I can tell you is don't eat everything but the kitchen sink while you are pg ok?? ha ha

the trick to losing baby weight is breastfeeding. I have had two kids an still only weigh 105. I also have a very high metabolism. Also after wards eats 5-6 small meals a day that will keep you metabolism high.

With all my children, I just breastfed them and the weight came right off. With my 2nd child, I gained 26 lbs. during my pregnancy and lost 42, just by breastfeeding. Also if you gained the right weight while you were pregnant, from eating healthy and from the baby, then it should come off with a little work. If your baby is already born, call some gyms or the YMCA in your area, and see if they have a mommy and baby workout class. That would be a way for you two to bond while you are losing the weight.

After my first it was near impossible. I do not know why I just fought and fought.I was 104 before I got pregnant and gained 68 pounds going up to 172. I managed to get down to about 150 before I got pregnant again. I am now at about 130-140 depending on the week LOL...and I know I will never see 104 again but I am not overweight!

If you breast feed the pounds will melt off. Thats what I did and Iost all my baby fat and some. But as soon as I quit breastfeeding, I started gaining a lot of weight. Dieting and exercising is the best way to go just in case you don't breastfeed. Be consistent with it also. IF you don't do it now, it may become to late and harder for you to lose.

It´s been really hard for me, my whole body changed, my metabolism got slow, its a real endocrine problem. In fact my boy its 5 years old and i´m still fighting for losing weight. I´ve tried it all, from diets to pills and nothing happened. Recently I bought a treadmill and i´m walking one hour daily, and i´m making diet also. I hope this would help me because i´m really sad about it.

I lost all mine after each pregnancy (two) in two weeks. I only gained 20 pounds with each though but I ate like crazy! I also nursed both children which keeps your metabolizing very high.
