I live here in America and have been an American all my life. If they were willing to flee to Canada just because of a certain president being elected then I wonder about their loyalty to America and whether they are true Americans or people who live in America and only like it when things go their way. I would call that a fair weather American. Wouldn't you? Sure hope they don't join the military or run for a government position themselves. I 'd hate for them to turn tail and run just because things were not going there way. Right ?

Canadians are Americans. Mexicans are Americans. Those who are citizens in Canada are Canadians. Those who are citizens in Mexico are Mexicans. Those who are citizens of the United States are United States citizens. All three countries make up the continent of North America. Therefore, we are all Americans.
During the last four years, we have seen here in the United States, policies changing concerning different health benefits. This can be alarming or unsettling. There is reasonable cause for alarm. People need to know they have a secure health program.
Why some citizens of the United States may prefer to reside in Canada may, in part, have to do with the social services and medical assistance being freely available in Canada. Massachusetts also has a good health policy...New York is on the increase...there are benefits to living in Canada, but why not get involved and implement them here in the U.S. ?

Neither. Have you ever been to either? I would like the healthcare system of either England or Canada, but they are hardly short of intolerance. They just don't call them rednecks. Look up the BNP in England and do a search on racism in Canada. Realistically, all countries have the exact same problems, there is no ideal place. Hate, bias and violence exist everywhere. Other than the healthcare situation there is little difference between Canada and the US if one looks at it honestly. You have to look at ALL the provinces, not just focus on liberal Toronto. Me, I would rather live in any Scandinavian country, which on the whole treat their women better in society than any other.

Would Americans rather live in CANADA, I think you have the question the wrong way around AYE, Since like 90% of canadians live within 60 miles of America I think Canadians want to be Americans. Besides canada is like frigin cold aye, and when you say aye ten times a sentence aye, it gets a little annoying aye, but i must admit canadians are friendly aye, and i like going there once in awhile aye, and they do make some damn fine beer aye!

Those people are full of hot air. Remember all the hypocrites from hollywood who said they'd move out if Bush was re-elected? Well, they didn't leave. Why? Cause USA is #1 place to live in the whole world. despite GWB.

Because of Political Dissention, of having the "wrong President"...(Which in my opinion is a really stupid thing to do, because of political strife, and it doesnt suite your needs at the moment, but, what can you do with those who are of that mindset?).
I really wonder, you had ALL those people saying it, but, I bet that there isnt but a handful of people who really "did it", and those were people who had the intentions of emigrating to Canada, whether it was Bush or Kerry in the White House, or not!...
Lets not count the diserters from the Military, as they are all volunteers, and if they signed up, they should have gone like anyone else to war, instead of deserting in War Time... (Of course, now that they deserted, they could actually face the firing squad, because of desertion in War!!)...
I wish you well..

Canadians are Americans. And, Bush wasn't RE-elected, because he wasn't ELECTED the first time. Maybe you start to understand the non-americanness of that...

canadians dont even want to live in canada.half want to be french european, and the other half want to be anglo european.i used to not have anything negative to say aboot canadians until i moved here from florida and saw how many canadians obsess over and loathe americans.(not all,but many do)perhaps if they ever manage to win the stanley cup away from the u.s. they will gain a sense of independence and national pride and finally cut themselves free of european and american influence and develop their own culture,eh!
