What they take the pills with should be less important than THAT they take the pills. I remember my mom crushing pills up in a tablespoon or two of orange juice. I was an older kid before I started taking them with just water...even as an adult I prefer to wash them down most of the time, with something that has a little flavor...especially if the pills are bitter.

If they are taking them with juice or milk ...DON'T try to change this...be happy they are able to take them at all.Although...You might try Kool Aid...a water base...make them think it is Jucie Juice...mix Kool aid up in JUCIE JUICE bottle. Be ten steps ahead of them. If they do good with that ...then you will know it is their MIND keeping them from taking their pills...with water. Then after they take them with watered down stuff a few times....tell them why you know they can use water...unless they just can't stand water.
Bless you............

I give you great big kudos for getting your kids to take pills at all. My daughter wont take them, she is terrified. She is 13!!!
I would say that it's ok for them to take it with Juice or milk, unless they are not allowed dairy with the type of med they are taking. But Juice should be fine.
But hey, if your really gunho on making them drink water, tell them a little white lie: The medication works faster or better or tastes better with Water.
good luck!

Usually children doesn't like to swallow pills with water because it's bitter. So it's better you crush the pills ,add some sugar and mix them together with water and now ask them to take the pills.Or else you can use honey with the crushed pills.Try any one of these methods

The main point is for the child to take the medicine. How he take it should not matter. Also if you insist, then explain to the child that taking medication with water is better than with juice, because juices have their own flavours, and milk is heavy to swollow.
