Your odds of getting a good job your first week in Denver depend a lot upon what your idea of a good job is and what you consider a good wage. Denver is a fairly expensive place to live and the job market is pretty good for low level jobs but is very tight for higher end jobs as there has been a lot of cut backs in recent years in industry in the area and at the government levels. This has left a glut of very employable very educated people all looking for work. As for time to finish your move, you should discuss that early on with any new employer and realize you may have to take time off without pay to do this.

You would be surprised how flexible some new employers would be. You can only ask for the time. They can only say yes or no. If they like you and they want you to work for them then I bet you will have no problem. Good luck with your move. You are going to enjoy the Rocky Mountains and the drier air vs Louisiana's humidity.

Hey I know many people from Louisiana. It is sad to see you leave. I hope you do find what you are looking for over there. I really don't have a clue what it will cost you. I'll pray for you and Keep you in pray. The best of luck to you!

My boyfriend rented a POD and stored all of his things in the POD and then they delivered it to his new house in Minnesota, he moved from Austin, Texas. The containers are sealed tightly and very safe. You can move at your own pace and I believe it is about the same as a storage unit. As far as your new employer, just be honest and tell him or her what is going on, they have been there before.
