I believe it is 100% WRONG!! The definition of abortion is:

'An abortion is the removal or expulsion from the uterus of an embryo or fetus, resulting in or caused by its death."

The pro-choicers would have you believe that it is not a living thing. Well, if it isn't a living thing, then how can it result in DEATH? And if it truly isn't human, then how do women give birth to human babies? And, did you know, that if for some reason an abortion fails, the doctor then has a moral obligation under the hypocritic oath to do everything in his power to save the BABY! “If a baby is born alive following a failed abortion and then dies (because of lack of care), you could potentially be charged with murder,” said Shantala Vadeyar, a consultant obstetrician at South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust. Wow, how did it go from a fetus that we can just kill, to a baby we must try save if the abortion fails?

Even international law is on the babies side: The 1978 American Convention on Human Rights states, in Article 4.1, "Every person has the right to have his life respected. This right shall be protected by law and, in general, from the moment of conception."

Personally, I think it is wrong. The arguement that the physical appearance of the embryo does not differ for that of any other mammal, when viewed by the naked eye in the first trimester, doesn't wash with me. Human blood appears, to the naked eye, to be the same as animal blood. It is only upon microscopic examination that the two can be readily distinguished. So it is with a human embryo. A human embryo has 48 chromosomes, not 46 like a dolphin or chimp. If left alone, the woman may miscarry, but chances are overwhelming that the fetus will delivered and will be human, not a monkey or a zebra.

There are other complexities such as the case of rape, or carrying to term threatens the mothers life, but we must admit to ourselves the truth. Most abortions are done because the pregnancy is not desired at the time and the abortion is retroactive contraception. People are engaging in casual sex without regard for the consequences because society tells them "Party On".

I think its wrong on all levels. Even in the case of rape, the child is innocent, as is the woman. Ending its life is unfair. In a regular case, the man and woman had a choice and chance to not make a child, but they didnt. They could not have sex, or use a functional birthcontrol meathod. The child cant even decide who its parents are, let alone when it wants to be concieved.

did you know at only 6 weeks gestation, only 4 and a half weeks after you even REALIZE you're late, the baby has eyes, fingers, a mouth and joints. A rib cage and the beginings of organs. It can curls its fingers around an object that touches its palm. At the moment of conception it is female or male. Its a being, whether it looks human or not. It moves. It has features.

I never felt this strongly about it until i got pregnant and miscarried at 5 or so weeks. Even then, you know it, you have plans for it. Even more so now that iam 9 weeks pregnant.

I would risk my own life and health for a child on the street, why wouldnt i do the same for one growing in me? Regardless of how it came to be. For instances of youth or rape, there are adoptive parents, and reliquished costody.

For people who think its not a baby in the first trimester there is a link here with some photos. Even when its the size of a dime, it has human features.

I think abortion is wrong. HOWEVER, in certain circumstances it is acceptable. For instance:

I know a 43 year old CHRISTIAN mother whose has a rare disease that is causing her skin to shrink around her. She already has a poor prognosis, but upon finding out that she was pregnant with her 4th child, she learned that if she tried to take the pregnancy to term, she *and* the baby would most definitely die. Since she already has three children under the age of 6, she decided to have an abortion so as to not leave her husband alone with them. In this case, she followed Jesus' main teaching, which was love. She was willing to sacrifice her own eternal life by committing a deadly sin (murder) because she loved her children and husband. In the end, only God can decide if she was right. But I challenge anyone to say that it should have been an easy choice.

It's not a matter of being right or wrong, it's just part of this whole planets systems. Life isn't always pleasant, watch some nature shows. Some species have ways of reducing their own population some are as disgusting as cannibalism, is that wrong. I don't think that nature sees it as right or wrong, it's just something that happens for the betterment of the whole population. We are a little bit more complicated because of our ability to reason to such a high level. Abortion should be seen as neither right or wrong but an unfortunate happening, just as the death of a soldier, a victum of an accident or of a disease. These are all present on a planet packed with life and unfortunatly often necessary.

Abortion is wrong even though the unborn doesn't have a say , the unborn did not ask to be here and Yes, every women has a right to keep her legs closed and to take precautions. The big battle in the USA, Roe V. Wade case. She kept her baby boy by the way and did not abort him. That was a little known fact that media kept quiet. She did not even believe in abortion although the case stemmed from her wanting to have the right to kill , murder a baby.

Abortion is not only a choice, there is a moral obligation to consider abortion in many instances. If there has been rape, if there has been incest, if the pregnancy is accidental, if there are other issues, then there is an obligation to consider abortion. Abortion is not a moral issue. The greatest numbers of abortions are performed by God in the form of miscarriages.
God does not wish for children to suffer and on occasion takes back a child.
In both Kings and Leviticus God instructs his followers to not only kill the children of sinners, but to kill the parents also.
The New Testament specifies that if your eye should cause you to sin, you are to cut it out, if your hand causes you to sin, you are to cut it off.
Jesus never spoke directly about abortion; however he had mercy on the prostitutes of the period who knew the process of abortion.
In the bible God gives over the control of the Earth to man in the form of free will. We are expected to control the Earth in the same manner as God. That of course would include abortion.
The 10 commandments say nothing of abortion. And in fact give the parent complete control over the child.
God gives control of our bodies to us under our free will. If a law was passed denying that free will when the bible clearly calls for the right to abortion, we would be sinners to follow such a law.
For this reason abortion is a legal and political issue. It is only a moral issue if the bible is distorted and the actions of God himself are ignored. In all other cases abortion is right.

It is right only in VERY VERY extreme cases. Cases when there is a danger to the life of the mother. Things like that.

But abortion is basically wrong. Because u r murdering some thing defenceless. If it is coming into the world, god will have a reason for it. Nature has everything planned. Who are you to intefere with it?

Saying abortion is a problem is like blaming a cough instead of the cold that causes it. Abortion is the symptom, not the problem.

The reasons people want abortions is the problem. Below isn't the be-all and end-all of reasons, but it sums up my view fairly well.

1. Rape, incest, the life of the mother at risk? I'm 100% pro-woman.

2. Poverty and deadbeat fathers? I don't like it, but if there's no other choice....

3. People who screw without thinking about the consequences? Tough luck, raise the kid.

4. To men who say, "That's MY child she's carrying!", my advice is you have the fetus transplanted into your body, then you can talk. Until then, shut up.
