You're probably thinking of Isaiah 14:12 " How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!". That's the verse most commonly quoted when referring to the fall of Lucifer. If you read the whole chapter, it become pretty clear that the prophet Isaiah was talking about Babylon.
In fact, the story of Lucifer being cast out is made up from several sources, most otf them NOT from the Bible.

Since Lucifer is an angel (a spirit being) there would be no precise physical location that you could say he fell. It is even unclear to me when this event occurs in time. The more important thing is that he was cast away from the presence of God. I don't understand why so many people make light of the things of God when He holds our fate in His hands and He knows even our thoughts. Another point made by this event is that indeed Lucifer is on/in the Earth and that without God's help we would indeed belong to him. I know whose side I am on... Have you chosen yet?

This Lucifer tale was based on earlier stories designed to explain a cosmic occurrence which occurred about 11,500 years ago and impacted the entire planet. It placated the frightened masses and gave more credence to the developing belief systems.
Also, be aware that some people believe that hell can be found geographically (not politically) in Israel. This belief can be traced to a barbaric Canaanite ritual observed by the Jews where newborns were thrown into a blazing fire.

Revelation 12:9 says he was thrown to the "vicinity of the earth"-he is a powerful spirit creature and is not restricted to any one area of the earth. The Bible says he walks about like a roaring lion seeking to devour someone. He knows his time is limited, so he tries, and succeeds, in getting many to follow him.

Wherever our loving knows all God in Heaven put him, wow thats a god we should love and follow huh! He just thought instead of stopping him that we should have to live with it. I can't understand why people want to believe in a god like that.
