I like to date independent, intelligent women(not necessarily perfection-Life is about finding beauty in imperfections). I make good money(not rich) and looking to teach college in future. Are women who are intelligent and independant also rude, mean, uncompassionate because women are unable to handle power or is it that I'm 28 and these type of women are the only ones left?
ps - True power is getting respect from people by making them love you, not acting mean and demanding.

Keep looking. Believe me good women are out there. When you meet a lady watch her a little you can fine out a lot about someone just watching them in conversation with other people. I hope you fine your young lady.

I am a very independent, intelligent woman and I am NOT rude, mean or uncompassionate. Just keep looking we are still out there. Oh yeah and you can not MAKE someone love you even if they respect you. Good luck.

I think women who are independant and intelligent are also full of themselves and think they are better than anyone else. Thats just my thoughts. I'm also 28 and the guys around here act the same way. I just want to find a nice, laid back guy who can have some fun and not worry about getting thier suit wrinked lol

First off you can't MAKE anyone love you; because you can not control the feelings of others. Honey you just haven't found the right one yet but there are a lot more than stuckup b*tches out there. You sound like you have a good package and may you find someone that will love and respect you.

No, i'm independent, and intelligent, and i'm not rude or mean, but i am assertive theres a difference, maybe you are just a little sensitive, and mistake assertiveness as being rude, but having said that there are some women who have power, and start to behave more like men (how unattractive).

I think the only reason why you think that way is because you are that way yourself. You see a girl that is intellegent and independent, and you are afraid to see how she truly is. You assume and assuming isnt going to get you anywhere. I am 21 and I am smart(not intellegent) and independent. Im not rude, nor mean, and i try to be compassionate. lol Shes out there for you. The question really is, do you just go for looks?
