You need as much as you can, studies are starting to show that many sicknesses and so called "diseases" are brought on by chronic dehydration. Doctors will not tell you this because they want to sell you medications and go see to them, because both of those things make them rich. You can't run a car without enough oil or gasoline, our bodies are complex machines as well and require water to run properly. Juice, pop, coffee, beer, etc. do not count, some are actually negatives, you need to drink water, steam distilled water is the best kind, I work for a water purification company and don't drink tap water, it is not as safe as it used to be. They don't tell you that either,....it's all about the money.

It varies a lot depending on weight, how much someone sweats and on how much water or anti-water is in in the food they eat. If you eat only watermelon all day, you usually don't need to drink water and you will urinate a lot. If you consume a lot of anti-water, you will need a great deal of water since anti-water nuetralizes water and makes it not work. See anti-water on site below.

With a couple of teaspoons of anti-water you will need to drink like 5 gallons of water before you get to use the water since that much is nuetralized.

the whole 8 glasses a day thing is a myth because you get more than that from just the food you eat. drink what you feel you need to to stay hydrated especially in the summer or if you get headaches a lot.

Well...Water is always good. By drinking it, you can lose weight and help your digesting system to work better. Therefore it will be nice if you will drink a lot of it. Oftentimes people think that they are hungry, but they are actually thirsty!

The body needs about 1500 ml or 1.5 liters per day. You can survive on less, as your kidneys can conserve water... but eventually you'll start getting dehydrated.

You are supposed to half of your body weight in ounces. So if you're 150 lbs, drink at least 75 ounces. This will also help you lose weight if you're looking for that.

People say 64 ounces a day. But you'll need less if you're sedentary, more if you're active.
