Yes they did!!! They were so much nicer too, not quite as sickly sweet as the white stuff. Oh how I miss those brown milky ways!

Yes, it was definitely light brown before, and it was nicer too. The white stuff is a bit too sweet.
Remember the Milky Way ad that said - the sweet you can eat between meals without ruining your apetite - that isn't true since they changed to the extra-sweet white stuff. That stuff has too much of an aftertaste.

Depends whether your'e in UK or USA. I believe a Milky Way in the USA is what we call a Mars bar (and vice versa) (Mars bar is still brown inside, here anyway!) UK Milky Ways havent changed as far as I know, and I've been eating them for about 45 years!

They most definitely did and tasted a lot better than the new ones!
Maybe someone should petition Milky Way makers for a return to the original one!

yes as a matter of fact(little known at that) they did, but once some people found out what was in there they switched the brown for the white(don't know what is in the white yet though)

they did, yes they honestly did, it was ages ago so some people may be too young to remember that but I do, the first time I had one with white inside I thought it was a mistake. I am so glad I am not the only one who remembers that.

When Milk Way candy bars first came out they had caramel in them along with the fluffy white nugget. I'm not sure when they changed the recipe though. In the Netherlands they use a completely different recipe from ours.

The way I remember them, the inside filling was of a brownish-white color, with a layer of caramel around the top. I can also remember when they only cost a dime!

Milky Ways haven't changed. You got yer Milk Chocolate coating, a layer of caramel over nougat.
You ALSO have your "Milky Way Dark" (p.k.a. "Milky Way Midnight"): Dark Chocolate, caramel, white nougat.
