it depends of the sound amplifier.
A true class A amplifier if remember right will use as much power whatever the volume. However not many TV would use that, more likely class B which does use less at low volume. Class A would be used in some audiophile hifi amplifiers.

Yes it does. Radios would probably see the greatest increase in power usage just based upon raising the volume. The TV would be more affected by the brightness level of the display.

Yes, of course.
The higher the volume, the more power that is being delivered to the 'speaker by the radio's output amplifier.
That power comes from the radio's power source, either the mains or battery.

I would imagine yes.
I wouldnt consider for a TV or Radio that a battery drainage/worryable amount
But for an iPod, i konw raising the volume very loud makes the battery life not as long.
It all depends what you are using i guess.

yea probably, the higher the volume is the more power it uses but it's not enough to worry about unless you have a serious home stereo and need amps and line conditioners..etc
