i have three budgies and they shed like crazy,i have been giving them molting food.but it does;nt seem to help.i was told that all you can do for them any ideas.its affecting my breathing.help!!.i dont want to get rid of them but unless i can find something to help im going to have too.

get a hepa filter for their room, certain bird species give off more dander than others, although usually this is cockatiels and cockatoos, and others species. There are also additives you can place on their food that will help put oils back into their feathers, 8 in one brand makes a suplement that you can find at petsmart that works well.

unfourtnatily for you, they will continue to shed just as human do/exfoliate :-)

have someone else remove the paper every day if possible. It will occur 2-3 times a year, but each bird is different.

some birds molt because they become stressed (a vet told me this b/c of my african grey so i'm not sure if its entirely true) if you recently moved the cage or did anything differently, then that could be a reason the birds are molting

Check with a vet. If you want to keep them then take them in to be examined. Otherwise give them to someone who will. With allergies, you should not take a chance.

If they are affecting your BREATHING get rid of them. I know about difficult breathing, just look at me I'm hideous
