100% correct always take your drink with you dont leave it on the bar if someone buys you a drink take it from the bar person
a couple of yrs ago my drink was spiked it could have been really bad but im thankful in a way that i came round in a police cell i dont remember what happened for a period of 6hrs but apparently i stood infront of a bus and when the police arrived i hit one of them !!! it may sound funny but its horrible missing part of your life and doing things that you would never think of doing normally , it could also have gone the other way and left me with the man who spiked me ...

Yeah... if you drink something and feel funny (you wont see or taste anything) go striaght up to the bar staff or security or a LONG TERM trustwrthy friend not someone you don't know that well.

Problem is it is impractical to keep your drink on you if you are on a dance floor as spillages and broken glass are dangerous, and you can't do fancy movements holding a drink

If you are drinking bottled drinks you can get a sort of bung that fits into the neck of the bottle, makes it impossible for the drink to be spiked, and yes things can be put into drinks, and some amke you so out of it that you ahve no idea what happened when you wake up.
