This is a phenomena which occurs when there is an irritation to the nerve supplying the eyelid. It can occur as intermittant or continuing. It triggers a musclular contraction which results in what you describe as a twitch. It can be easilly resolved by determining and eliminating the cause of the irritation. You would normally find an accompanying tenderness at the base of the skull. Usually on the same side as the effected eye.

Boys:if it is left eye, something good will happen to you
right, bad
Girls: Just the opposite.
This is what the old people say but dont listen to it at all.
Eye twiches because of nervous weakness or absence of nerve impulse suddenly in optical nerve(nerves connecting eyes and brain)
thanks

I don't know what OLD people say, but I say its from to much TV, and Computer time. See your room lights are running on 60 cycles ,whilst your computer or TV may be at 75 cycles, This variance, may be causing your eyes to fluctuate between cycles causing involuntary twitches.

I don't know what elders say it means, but I get twitches all the time. It's just unvoluntary spasms of a muscle. I say it means I'm concentrating to hard, (even though I'm not). One time, I was being driven by my grandpa, and his eye twitched uncontrollably. I felt bad for him, so I redirected my face. I mean, when you get older, you have less control of your muscles.

Its a twitching muscle, do you ever get it in any other parts of your body? Its normal, every moving thing has this, nothing to worry about.
