Why causes the eyes not to constict? My 3 year old has this problem.?

We recently went to the DR and when the Dr was shining the light in his eye, his pupils stayed dialated.

You should have asked the doctor right then and there why that happened. Didn't the doctor make a comment about it? He certainly would have recognized the abnormality of it all.

It needs investigating further,It could be a neurological problem or he may just need to wear glasses
