Not at all. It is the work of depression. The problem with depression is that it snowballs! You get a little depressed and people stop wanting to be around you. You get lonely which makes you more depressed. It really gets out of hand till you need external help to get you out of it.
If believing in the god and the devil helps you out of your depression, then seek spiritual help. However, I recommend not believing in fairy tales. Instead, take the time to research the cause of the depression and slowly work your way out of it. There will not be one cause that you can fix, but rather a myriad of cumulative issues that will need to be dealt with. Consult your friends and even a counselor.
Cheers!

I wouldn't say work of the devil. People who are thinking about it are usually suffereing, going through a very hard time and finding it hard to cope with life. There r all sorts of reason why some people think about commiting suicide. Just have try to help them get through they're difficult time. If u are feeling like this u should talk to ur family and friends and go see ur doctor talk to a therapist. If u wanna talk IM me or send a message.

Well u cant call it a work of devil n all but one thing is for clear... the person who thinks of it is either unaware of d number of people who love n care for him/her or he just wants to ignore his responsibilities n has no strength to face n fight out difficulties...

Thinking of suicide is not strictly the work of the devil.
Some of God's worshippers mentioned in the Bible wanted to die.
Jeremiah for example ...and Job.
Having the thought come to mind is not a crime, acting on it is!
Just like you can't stop a bird from landing on your head, but you don't have to let him build a nest.

You maybe thinking it but it maybe just feeling like nothing else is getting anyone's attention for your cry for help. You can email me if you like and we can talk about it privately if you like. The issue isnt the devil it is your feelings. You need to talk to someone.

Yes. You could commit that sin like any other. All sins have something to do with Satan.
However, Samson committed suicide and it was sanctioned by God who actually gave him the strength to do it. If you give your life to save your child it's, of course, not a sin. Under normal circumstances it is a sin.
