There might be mold inside the camera, I would take it in to see if it has something wrong with it, or if possibly it can be cleaned. If it's not mold, it could be a problem with the digital sensors. In either case, it sounds serious... might be time for a new camera.

It is not mold or fungus. In a camera lens such a problem is easy to spot. When you say green spot are you talking about a single pixel or something much larger like the entire frame? If it's all green it's probably a color balance issue. By chance did you happen to have the lens pointed to a flash head when you were setting up the photo....or did you point it at the sun? If you could post a link to the image it would be easier to diagnose the problem.

First off it's not mold. It would take an awful lot of mold to turn a picture green.

1) Do you get a green spot when you take a of picture of something else outdoors? Try.

2) Try turning off or re-arranging the lighting you are using. More then likely your problem.

Have you taken it to a professional to look at it yet?
Sounds like a technical problem.
Or maybe it is the white balance.
Maybe you can even go to a canon webpage and find the answer there.
