The color white is observed when all of the light falling on a object is completely reflected.The milk is a colloid i.e it a mixture of fat and water to greater extent.As the molecules of the fat are only suspended in water and not have formed a bond with the water the reflect the light in various directions. As a result the color is observed as white. this is the same reason why we see salt as white in color even if the crystals are transparent

This is to due the calcium in the milk, as well as the way that light is reflected off of the mixture that represents the milk.
