USA Coke is made with corn syrup, because sugar price supports in the USA make sugar too costly. Coke in other markets is often made with sugar.

There is no such thing as an "imported" coke. The syrup is imported from the factories and taken to bottling plants around the world (this includes many cities in the US). It's cheaper to ship syrup than syrup, water and glass at once. The syrup is matched with carbonated water and canned/bottled. Sometimes, as is the case with American fast food, the syrup is deliivered straight to the restuarant, where the syrup never comes into contact with the water until it comes out of the dispenser. Lots of places have different syrup to water ratios, resulting in your liking the cokes better at Taco Mac verses teh Stake N Shake. Other country's cokes may be forumalted differently to suit that nation's cultural taste. All in all, it's the same product.

I was in England last year and Diet Coke tasted more like Pepsi over there. Don't know why. They don't sell as large containers either.

Yes. Most Coca Cola (and other soft drinks) made in the US are sweetned w/ corn syrup. Cokes in other nations, esp. large agricultural economy nations, are usually sweetened w/ cane sugar.
Personally, I'd go for the cane-sugar sweetened ones every time.
