Well if you commit suicide its not like the law is going to come after you. It is illegal to ASSIST in a suicide. Meaning you can not help someone else commit suicide or you can catch a murder charge.

Actually, as ridiculous as it sounds, it is illegal. Very illegal. Of course nothing can be done if you are successful in killing yourself, but if you try and don't succeed or don't go all the way through with it, you can go to jail. It's still considered murder. And it seems like the easy way out, but whether you believe it or not, it's a sin. We're all God's creatures. I can't say for sure since I've not done it, but it's my honest belief that if you kill yourself you will go to hell. That's because it's the ultimate sin and there's no way possible for you to ask God for forgiveness if you're dead. So tell your sister that yes, it is definitely illegal. And I hope she isn't thinking about doing it.

Suicide is not illegal - you have the right to take your own life plus what are they going to do to you if you do it? Think about it. It is illegal to assist someone in a suicide plan. If you help conspire to help someone else end their life than you are doing something illegal.

The command belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the right religion, but most people do not understand.” (12:40)
