It depends on which liquid you are measuring. The more dense the liquid, the less liquid to the pound. eg: buttermilk is denser than water - maple syrup is denser than buttermilk
So... what liquid you're measuring needs to be identified.

Pounds do not convert to quarts. Pounds are weight, quarts are volume. It depends on what's in them. 8 quarts of water will be much heavier that 8 quarts of powdered sugar.

8 quarts of what?
Quarts is a measure of volume, pounds are a measure of mass.
8 quarts of water is going to weigh a different amount than 8 quarts of sand.
So, in order to know how much 8 quarts of something weighs, you have to know what something is.

A gallon of water weighs 8.33 pounds at 20 degrees Celsius.
4 quarts to a gallon....
Therefore, quart weighs 2.825 pounds......8 quarts weigh 11.3 pounds-(at 20 degrees Celcius)
Good Luck!

Ummm, I think that would all depend on what liquid you are measuring. 8 quarts of water might weigh one thing, while 8 quarts of mercury would weigh another...

You can't easily convert volume (auarts) to weight (pounds). It all depends upon what item you are talking about. Flour will measure differently than milk, sugar, or water.
To prove my point, simply observe the size of a 5 lb. bag of flour and a 5 lb. bag of granulated sugar. They both weigh 5 lbs, but the bag of sugar is smaller than the bag of flour.
