"The Bible Code," as described in Michael Drosnin's bestselling book, is a supposed "hidden message" in the Bible. By taking the Old Testament in the original Hebrew and looking at every third letter, every tenth letter, or every 208th letter, supposedly one can find hidden messages. Mr. Drosnin doesn't believe in God, but believes that some 'higher power' put those messages in there.
Speaking as one who has knowledge of both the Bible and mathematics, Mr. Drosnin's entire assumption is garbage.
The Hebrew language has no vowels; therefore, nearly any three-letter grouping would make a word. With thousands of letters making hundreds of thousands of combinations (by taking different 'skip' sizes), sooner or later, simply by random chance, some meaning could be found.
Critics of Mr. Drosnin have taken works like "Moby Dick" and found similar clusters of "prophetic words." Mr. Drosnin counters by saying that they are there, but they aren't the same combinations as in the Bible.
People like Mr. Drosnin need to spend less time searching for the hidden messages in the Bible, and need to spend more time reading the revealed message of the Bible.

How do they know the exact time, date, names etc.? This was supposed to have been written 100's of years ago. I think it is simply just a line of fiction just like the DaVinci Code. Wish I was making the money he is.

That Satan once proved that humans cannot be completely faithful to God. That Jesus proved him wrong. And that now everyone has a chance to do the same, despite our imperfections and the temptations set before us.

The story of salvation, Jesus' coming to die to redeem us from sin and the curse of it. However, it is plotted out in prophesys that i think we should be all interested in searching for ourselves. They are recorded for our knowledge and understanding and to protect us from the deceptions of our time.
