I am not sure what you mean.
Are you trying to clear a paper jam?
Have you lifted the upper covers?
The unit will usually reset after the large cover is lifted and dropped back down.
use the smaller uppermost cover first to remove your document if possible. if not, remove your document while the large cover is open.
