I joined it, then decided to try it on my own. Not really in to groups and stuff. So I bought all the stuff, and I have been doing it on my own. I have lost 30lbs since January. I walk about 2 miles every other day or so. I was 197 and now 165. My goal is 150.
WW is a great way of learning to eat right. I don't follow the points exactly anymore, I just kind of know when enough is enough. You may feel like you are starving at first, but you just have to give you tummy time to shrink to what is normal. They have zero point foods to snack on when you just know you are going to pass out from starvation!
Check out www.weightwatchers.com
A friend has lost 100lbs in a year. Another has had a lot of success, over 150lbs in 2 years! It comes off slower then some of the other diets so it gives you skin time to shrink so you are not stuck with hanging skin. When I say slower don't get frustrated, its average is 2-5 lbs a week, so thats pretty good. Its just so much healthier to lose this way.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I did not join - a relative did but I went with the plan anyway. I lost about 60 lbs - it was great. I have kept the weight off for 3 years. When I got to where I wanted to be, I started to eat "Healthy Choice" lunches five days a week, and nibbled a little at night. On the weekend I eat what I want. It has helped me maintain. Weight Watchers was expensive when my relative was going. You can get the cook books - there are good recipes in them. Also, a lot of the frozen foods (i.e. Healthy Choice) give you the point value for Weight Watchers and that makes it easier too.

I have many friends who have or are on Weight Watchers and as long as you include a regular exercise program you should get great results. Weight Watchers seems to teach moderation, balance and personal responsibility.
