Like I said, he did use protection, and when he could tell he was going to come, he pulled out. My fiance and I pride ourselves in trying to be as careful as possible, but we realize nothing is 100%. can water help sperm swim along, and under the circumstances, would a condom and pulling out as well be relatively safe in your opinion?

THANK YOU FOR ANY AND ALL ADVICE!

I didn't know if the flow of water if gotten up there, would help the sperm move along easier (if any are even up there).

The condom gave you a 97% chance of preventing a pregnancy, and nothing else you did mattered.

Wearing a condom is safe. But there are still chances of the condom failing. The worst possible method is withdrawal WITHOUT a condom, which you called pulling out. Those are the ones with the highest chances of getting pregnant. The best contraception method is to go on the pill. Going swimming has got nothing to do with helping you not get pregnant. In fact after sex, it's advisable to take a piss as that will help get rid of any bacteria left behind after intercourse.

If you're not married to this man, and you "pride yourselves" on being careful, I would think that, in your case, abstinence would be the best option for you. Your thinking is flawed...there is such a thing as 100% effectiveness...once again, abstinence!

If you did both method at the same time then you are safe. Be sure whenever you use condom that it has no holes.

if you did both and the condom didn't break it sounds like you should be okay.
