I never really thought of it from that point of view.

Let me explain: I look for the largest amount of fast memory for my dollar. (Biggest Bang for my Buck)

The particular manufacturer name on it tends to mean nothing at all.

Look at these prices:

There is really nothing that warrants such a huge difference in these prices.

Personally, I'd forget about the 256MB and find the largest one I could afford in my price range.

you're having a moist dream. you won't be able to run an OS with flash memory. It should be latest on the mobo firstly era. Even then, you'll pick 2 gigs of motherboard ram for it to run respectable.

Go for a PNY Cruzer Micro, they look really nice and are a great company.
