Answer: > why put people into "groups." fool <

I think the 'fool' you missed was the one/s who 'put themselves into groups' (with such names) ...and the one 'who don't read things properly.'

Regards.
Sash.

Grunge definitely. Chavs are just sad people who have got nothing better to do than try to beat up people that look at them for more than 2 seconds.

If you like a certain style of dressing or music etc... you shouldn't feel that you are a "fool" for embracing it. Some people feel more comfortable being associated with a trend. It means they can identify with like-minded others and at the same time make a statement about themselves.
I am not saying that I agree with certain "groupings" - No offence meant, but I wold say that Chavs are tacky and Grunge looks dirty, but who am I to say, I dress in what I think suits me, and what I like - which is not to stand out for the way I dress....what does that class me as - "boring / safe" - at the end of the day, it is still a *group* thing.
Don't be so harsh, accept others choices, even if - like me - you don't get it !

You know some people appreciate having a group that will look out for them and take care of them against others that mean them harm and ridicule. I don't really agree qwith chav culture because of what it's promoting with kids but children have always had groups of local people that they feel they belong to.

When i was growing up a lot of my friends were the "grungers" you talk about, and they were the nicest people I met, they sat around on sunny days with a jukebox chatting to each other and being in a large group stopped the "chavs" from bothering them when they walked around town. Why do people have a problem with that?

Grunge is a why off dressing that is anti fashion it means you'll ware anything and don't care what people think of your cloths Usually rich middle class kids people trying to do the poor old junkie act!

Chavs get there cloths from the market or steal them from TK Maxx. They where anything with a label because they think it looks good but mainly end up looking like pickies
