Im building a home arcade and just bought the X-Arcade joystick. My question is if anyone can suggest any good software that will work good with the joystick, I looked at mame but it looked confusing....any suggestions on a good menu to make it easier to pick games from such as nes, genisis and n64 emulators and roms....also if someone could explain MAME exactly how to setup that would be great too, thanks

GameEx is what your looking for. The best thing about GameEx is Tom Speirs, why ? because he will talk to you and help fix any issues. There is the free download and use of this frount end software but has nag screen. If you are making a cabnit I'd donate to him and have the Nags off (I did from day one). You can play all types of system emulators thru one frount end and its clean looking plus it offers some other custum features.

As far as the X-Arcade joystick goes it should be a plug n play. you plug it in and its ready. You can wuse GameEx to set up button functions. When building a cabnit I suggest buying an wireless mouse and keyboard, I went as far as to make mine on my home network and run a program like MYPC on it so I can play or work on the cabnet computer from any other computer in the house or if I wanted from anywhere in the world.

Enjoy Ive been a MAME player for 3 years and a GameEx person for just over a year. Read an learn thats what will make the best thing you can do..
