I'd go along with curious girl - hand on bare bottom is just incomparable for intimacy and erotic delight. But it's fun to use other implements too - leather or wooden paddle, hairbrush, slipper, tawse, strap, etc - so long as you know what you're doing.

Lexan with holes... The holes allow the air to pass through so that the paddle moves faster, therefore smacking harder. bare bottom? depends on what your partner wants...
