How did you manage to lose that much, any advise?

I lost 50 pounds. Probably took me a little less than a year. Weight Watchers and the Firm (exercise tapes/dvds). I kept it off until I couldn't afford WW online anymore. Now about half it crept back.

50 lbs, from 235 to 185, in exactly 12 months (of course it wasn't all steady)

Lots of small things, but the most important was I got tired of being fat and decided that I'm worth it, I'm not a "fat" person so I'm doing what it takes.

Here are some specifics:
- read lots about diet, exercise, etc. 2 reasons - one the info is useful, but more important 2 it's a reminder and motivation daily
- eat a big and healthy breakfast. I usually do Oatmeal (3 packs of the instant stuff w/ fruit on top) or eggs, but always w/ fruit
- start gradually cutting back on sugar. this is hard and slow but work at it
- change my food choices at lunch - this is where the reading will help
- have an afternoon snack. because if I try to be tough and deprive myself, I'll only end up gorging later
- my toughest part was evening snacking on carbs and sugar. So I did several things - substitute low fat protein, veggies, and just stop buying the junk. only thing I do now is get the really strong dark chocolate, it satisfies the craving w/ fewer calories.
- and EXERCISE. You don't have to do a lot of hours, but the trick is to get intense at least once every other day - something that warms you up to a full-on sweat, breathing hard. that turns on your metabolism for hours.
- started taking good-quality multivitamins and fish oil.

I lost 30 pounds in 30 days. I cut out the carbs except on the weekends. Through the week I just eat eggs, bacon, or sausage for breakfast but no bread. For lunch I would eat burito's or soft tacos or any kind of wraps not contain bread which you can get at about any fast food resturant anymore and for dinner I would ate steak and salad. I also drank water or juice but no pop. Worked for me very quickly too......Good Luck

I lost a total of 4 stone and it took me 6 months at weight watchers. I have kept it off now for 3 years and I am still a trim size 8!

20 pounds. It took six weeks. I limited myself to 1,000 calories per day, except that I allowed myself to eat anything I wanted from the time I got home on Friday night (around 6:00) until midnight. The first Friday night I rushed home, snacked like crazy, went out to dinner and ate and drank like it was going out of style. The next Friday I drove home at a reasonable speed, had a glass of Coke, went out to dinner and ate a modest portion. The next Friday I just stayed at the office until 8:00, then went home, had a slice of cantaloupe for supper, and went to bed. Once I got the hang of it, things like tomatoes and cantaloupe tastes just as good as steak and apple pie. If you put your mind to it, you can do just about anything. Good luck.

when i was 12 i went from 120 pounds to 73 pounds. I jocked on the beach for 6 month almost every day. for half and hour and then the walk back.

I went from 200 lbs to 165lbs in about 2 months. I just started to eat less and when I did eat I would eat soups. The weight just fell off...like over night...I also started to just drink water..

I lost 50 lbs but I wouldn't suggest you follow my plan. I lost it in about 4 months by only eating lettuce and fruit, it landed me in the hospital

ive lossed nearly 5 stone in 1 and half years, weight watches ive done mine threw i never feel hungry on it and its great you get to meet new ppl that are in the same boat

1st in about 2-3 months. Try Chinese general herbal detox, available in Chinese herbal shops.
