Is Mission Hills, California part of Los Angeles or is it a separate town altogether?

I know Mission Hills is in the Vicinity of Los Angeles, but I want to know if it is a separate town from Los Angeles or not.

Part of LA, in the North San Fernando Valley.

It's considered part of the city of LA. There are other neighborhoods nearby which are their own cities, like San Fernando, Burbank, Glendale. It's up to the individual neighborhoods whether they are part of the city of LA or their own city.
