both my parents have black hair, and i came out ginger. I have seen first hand the gingerphobia evident in society today. Why????

I love my hair, and i found the Catherine Tate act about red heads extremely funny. I don't think people hate red heads, some people prefer red heads to blonde's and the other way round.
I only ever got teased when i was really young and it was just the usual thing like ginger biscuit, children do things like that!
Face it there's always going to be haters where ever you go and for what ever reason whether sex, race, religion, hair colour, size and so on.
I personally don't think there is a ginger phobia, well i certainly haven't experienced it.

I think you ,being a red head , tend to pay more attention to "gengerphobia" than the rest of us do . I never really thought about it before ,but I think you are right . As kids we use to make fun of or tease the red heads . Just because they where different . Rare . Now that I am older I can attest to the fact that red headed women are some of the most beautiful women in the world . No one teases or makes fun of them any more . They just display jealousy.

What i've noticed about red heads, is that they can be very short tempered. I have had two best friends with red hair, and they were short tempered, but ALSO have known red heads in the work place, the same way.....

Honey I love red hair so much i dye my hair red and have done since i was 14. The friends I have now have no idea I'm actually mousy brown. so be proud of being a red head coz I'm sooooo jealous!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm auburn, was lighter when younger but now closer to regular brown. I love redheads, all kinds. Not sure what you're talking about, gingerphobia. Sure, redheads get attention and kidding, and probably a few idiots who seriously have a problem but I never heard of gingerphobia.

I must firstly apologise for giving a proper answer, i normally prefer giving stupid answers. Think it is historical. Legends include that red heads had links with the devil and some claim judas was a red head.

As a person with brown hair and eyes I have always thought it would be so cool to have red hair and green eyes. I guess people don't like your hair cuz they are jealous that you always stand out.

this people don't! Don't worry, you haven't met enough people yet. Redheads are special, pale and lovely. Freckles are a big turn on for more mature guys.
As for your famous temperament, they say you know you've pleased a redhead when she unties you.
