Ok, calm down, breathe. Weddings can be stressful, but we'll get you straightened out. I'm not sure what type of theme you are looking for. This is what I can do for you though. I'll give you a list of some websites to look at. Gather some ideas. If you're short on cash, send me an email and I'll try to offer some suggestions on how to save money. As far as food, consider the time of the wedding. My wedding is at 2pm. I wanted something very untraditional and I will serve only a dessert buffet. Only desserts, nothing else. It's not dinner time or lunch time, we will have a bride's cake and groom's cake, but we will also have candy, two chocolate fountains, cookies and fruit, and lots of small individual desserts. If you'd like to have different finger foods (which most would) you can make coctail weenies, finger sandwiches, sandwiches in crousants are good, a fruit tray, there are these torilla roll-ups, where you spread cream cheese on a tortialla with some other things like sliced ham or olives, and you roll it up, then cut it in slices. To get ideas, try going to your local Sam's or Costco, or even Walmart. Get an idea on what they offer in serving platters. They might even be cheaper and easier than doing it yourself. email me for any more help rdnkchic2003@yahoo.com

Weddings really don't need a theme. If you feel you need a theme then you are getting married in a month, summer is your theme. Pick out summer flowers you like, summer foods you like. It all depends on if you want a formal wedding or not. You need to consider the time of day you are having your wedding. A midafternoon you only need to serve appetizer foods, if you are getting married around lunch or dinner then you need to serve a meal. If you are doing a meal do a buffet style. Talk to your caterer, see what they recommend. If you plan to have an outside wedding be sure to choose a backup place due to weather.
Look on the internet for ideas, read wedding books(Emily Post is good & Martha Stewart), ask any of your married friends or other married people you may know for help.

What is your favorite color - go with something themed from something you love or some interest you two share or someplace you really want to go or how you are feeling. Some of the most beautiful weddings have been just the colors they choice. Go all metallics (gold and silver) and white and only have red roses on the tables and in the bouquet. Black and white weddings are nice too

with only a month to go i'd forget a theme..have the wedding at a park, and have a bbq..there are already grills there usually...you can get married by the water, then have the reception outside..it's free to get a spot in a park, but most parks will let you reserve a good spot for something like a wedding..if you don't have a dress i'd just wear a simple white or pastel dress...keep it casual...casual can still be beautiful!!

Sweetie, Im in the same boat but Im getting married next month. I had less than 3 months to plan mine, best adivice go to your nearest David's Bridal store find a dress on the rack that you like, try it on may sure it fits......register all your birdes maids there. its cheaper, if you do it like that. Then....food, depends on how many people are coming. We are sending out 100 invites so we have to have enough food for at least 60-80 people. I am having a home wedding I grew up in the house I am getting married in. Decorations, if you like flowers use them if you like balloons use them, just depends on yoru taste!! Good Luck need more ideas email me Msoutherngirl@yahoo.com

For a wedding i wouldn't use and specific theme. Just use pretty flowers and center pieces and lots of candles. If this is a small wedding i would just use finger foods.

for the food, let the family bring something. give each one of the sisters or moms a dish they have to bring. get all the girls together to help decorate. go to a craft store they always have flowers on sale. also when you do the first dance, play the money veil game. while you are dancing, the family and friends, pin money to your veil, this will help cover a few expenses

for the food.. try finger foods like i did.. what was leftover my husband and i took to the cabin where we were staying for our honeymoon..
we had cheese with crackers, veggie dips with broccoli, califlower, carrots, tomatoes, lil finger sandwiches ie. tuna, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese,
we also had our nuts, punch and cakes.
for a theme,we got married it was Christmas time..
we used candy canes and red and green m&M's and all our decorating was done b/c the church was already fixed up for that holiday. but email me if you need other help..
you are going to do fine.. congrats and good luck.. :D also for the m&m's you can get them to the colors of your wedding if you go to www.m&ms.com i believe that is the website or just punch in m&m's in the search engine. :d

If your wedding is in the summer and your reception will be outdoors, you can't go wrong with salmon.
Try this website. They give you tips on how to plan your wedding and it is free.
I planned my own backyard wedding and it was gorgeous, not too expensive and fun.
