The world is getting worse, the bible explains it very clearly, it has to get worse in order for the Lord to come back. If you don't believe me then read the New Testament of the bible, never take mans word for it but read it yourself and research it to get the truth of it

People have always said this since recorded history began, but it depends on what you mean by "getting worse." It isn't so much that people are worse now than they were in the past, but that the population is increasing. More people crammed into the same amount of space with the same resources = more crime as people become less tolerant of each other. Also, we have more powerful weaponry now than ever before, which means more opportunity for destruction on a massive scale.

Another thing to consider is that, if you watch the news a lot, you're only seeing the negative aspects of humanity--war, racism, crime, etc.--because that's what people want to see. Nobody would watch the news if it were nothing but all the good stuff that goes on in the world. Most of the people you meet are probably good people who would gladly help you out if they could, not criminals and crazy bombers. So, are people generally "getting worse"? Probably not, it just seems that way because we tend to look at things in a very limited fashion.

I think it's very difficult to answer this question. With the media as big and intense as it is today (television, radio, newspapers, internet...all reporting nonstop) more events get covered than ever before. Based on documentation which goes back in history, we know that violence and mayhem have been occuring since the beginning of man. There just weren't as many sources to broadcast it.

And natural disasters can be included in this category as well. Some people will point to the hurricanes and floods of recent and say that certainly the world is worse today. But again, if you examine history you will see extreme events have also been continuous.

I really think arguments can be made both ways. While things are certainly chaotic in today's age, we are also better off in many ways. Technology is getting better every day. Advances are being made in medicine. Scientific research is teaching is more and more about the universe. We can say that this is a scary time, or an exciting time.

Lets see, people are living twice as long, our poor people live like kings compared to other countries, no more plagues or famines, no more stinky horse crap and garbage on our streets. We can travel the world cheaply. We can assess information at our finger tips. No more slavery, people of all races and colors have a fair chance to get ahead. People don't die for believing someting differnt. Come on!
Anyone that says things are getting worse, is delusional at best.

It's only getting worse to clear up all that **** that people have filled the world with, so there's room for new improvements.

I do. World events are declining. Watch Israel. Israel is the time clock for the world. We've never seen a nuclear situation like we have today. God will soon have to step in before the rapture and then all hell really will break lose. Those anchored in Christ should have no fear.

I believe it. It's ridiculous. People need to get better in order for the world to get better. That is not happening.
