WELL I KNOW IT SOUNDS RACIST BUT I ALSO WORKED IN A DRUG STORE(SAV-ONS) IN WATTS-SOUTH CENTRAL AREA IN LOS ANGELES, AND THE STORE HAD A BAD SHOPLIFTING PROBLEM AND IT WAS MAINLY BLACKS STEALING. WHEN WE DID A SURVEY ON THE SHOPLIFTERS
MORE THAN HALF WHERE SMOKERS OF DRUGS OTHERS WHERE DOING IT TO KEEP THEIR MONEY, THE OTHERS COULD NOT AFFORD THE PRODUCTS, BUT ALSO WE FOUND OTHER RACES WHERE STEALING BLACK HAIR PRODUCTS ALSO. IT'S JUST HOW IT IS. I WAS ONCE OFFENED UNTIL I WORKED AT A STORE AND SEEN THE DAMAGES OF SHOPLIFTERS WHEN THEY GET CAUGHT TTHEY RUN AND THROW PRODUCTS AT YOU TO STOP FROM GETTING CAUGHT, OR THEY USE THE PRODUCT RIGHT IN THE STORE AND WHEN THEY STUFF THE ITEMS INTO THEIR CLOTHES SOME AREAS WHERE THE ITEMS WERE FOUND YOU HAVE TO THROW THE MERCANDISE AWAY. BUT IT'S REALLY NOT A BLACK PROBLEM ALL OTHERS USE BLACK HAIR CARE PRODUCTS.

I've bought those products before but I don't think I've noticed those anti-theft devices. I have a hard time dying my hair so I buy them. I think, maybe, if you want, Start to bring this up in public, address your community and say something people do have equal rights. If this does concern you, I wouold take a stand and get a whole lot of people involved no matter what color their skin. We are all human and that is descrimination based on ethnicity. Stores should not be aloud, never mind stores NOBODY should be aloud to judge someone because of their race. If I lived where you did I would be right with you. This pisses me off because I have family of different backgrounds and dfriends of different backgrounds. Can you do me a favor and e-mail me. I have really come up with some ideas. If you want to do something about this let me know. I may not be in the same country but I do know a lot of people who would back me up. I would take a stand with you.

Initially I'd check the yellow pages. Most beauty supply stores carry products for both black and white. You might also casually inquire at your local hair salon, as to where they got a particular brand. They could give you a lead, not knowing that you were about to become the competition.

There must have a high rate of theft on those items or they wouldnt go to the trouble of placing devices on them. White people buy black hair products too (I do) so, I dont think its racist.

The makeup and many other items have anti-theft devices in alot of stores.

People need to lighten up on the racist card...
