Galatians 2:21 (NKJV)
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."

Galatians 5:4 (NKJV)
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Galatians 5:14 (NKJV)
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Galatians 5:18 (NKJV)
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV)
But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousness are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away.
________

We do not stand as "righteous" because of our works. Our works, even our "good works" are filthy rags. No one can stand by their own merit.

Now, if we are Christians, Christ died and paid the penalty for everything we have done and WILL DO.

We do not now stand in front of God with an empty slate...Christ has GIVEN us HIS Righteousness.

I now stand in front of God as a sinner, yet with Christ's righteousness.

Acts 13:38-39 (NKJV)
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; [39] and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

God sees me as perfect. I am not under Law. It is my guide.

I am not Christian but the Torah received at Sinai will never be changed nor become obsolete. This concept is mentioned in the Torah no less than 24 times, with the words:

"This is an eternal law for all generations"

(Exodus 12:14, 12:17, 12:43, 27:21, 28:43, Leviticus 3:17, 7:36, 10:9, 16:29, 16:31, 16:34, 17:7, 23:14, 23:21, 23:31, 23:41, 24:3, Numbers 10:8, 15:15, 19:10, 19:21, 18:23, 35:29, Deuteronomy29:28)

The Old Testament law was “nailed to the cross” with Christ (Colossians 2:14). This old law included the 10 commandments. This law was “nailed to the cross”, so now no one can “judge us… according to Sabbath days.” (“Remember the Sabbath…” is part of the 10 commandments in Exodus 20)

Romans 7 talks about the old law being done away. The old law was not bad, it had a purpose, but that purpose was fulfilled or completed. Part of this old law that was fulfilled was “Thou shalt not covet” (Rom 7:7) (Again, part of the 10 commandments.)

The Purpose of the Law was to bring us to Christ. In Galatians 3:24-25, it is compared to a “schoolmaster”, a custodian who’s job was to bring the children to the teacher. (Kind of like modern school bus drivers.) After the children were brought to the teacher, they no longer needed the schoolmaster. His job was completed. The Law brought God’s people to Christ. Now we are under Christ, not under the law.

We still keep 9 out of the 10 commandments, not because we are under the Old Law, but because these are repeated in the New Testament. If we continue to try to be “justified by the Law”, then we have “fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4)

Some Christians are confused about this issue. The law we are freed from is the law of sacrifice, since Jesus fulfilled those laws by being the ultimate sacrifice.
Those other laws, especially the Big Ten, are still in effect.
Of course, we're gonna mess up at times, being "only human". Isn't it good to know that we have an advocate with the Father (that is, a Public Defender Whose Dad just happens to be the Judge?)

We are not under Moses law any more, Colossians 2:14. But we are to still follow the Ten Commandments of God. Some texts include: 1 John 2:1-4, Hebrews 8:10, Romans 3:31. Also, Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. More info in links attached.

The essence of Old Testament law still applies today.

There are certain individual rules within the OT -- not eating certain foods, for instance -- that no longer apply because of New Testament verses that supercede them.

But the general "gist" of the OT still applies.

There are many teachings and prohibitions in the Old Testament that are not changed at all in the New, but rather are backed up and upheld by them. The prohibition against homosexual conduct, for instance.

Well, for starters, we are STILL taught to live under the "commandments" of the old Testament. We still, don't have any other Gods before the Lord almighty...we still do not kill...we don't steal...we still honor our Mother & Father...etc. We still believe that God created the Heavens and the Earth, and that homosexuality & incest & beastiallity is a sin.

Jesus Christ have us a new commandment...it didn't make all the other ones null and Void it was in addition to.

John 13:34 "A New Commandment I give unto you, that you love one another as I loved you; By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

The key here is to "LOVE ONE ANOTHER". That means the proclaimed "Christians" who bash gays, who scream abomination, are NOT following Christs NEW COMMANDMENT, and therefore not true Christians. Yes, these things are still sins, but in Christ, all things are forgiven.

Because of Jesus death. He freed us from the Old law.

His death brought the possibility of eternal life (which wasn't a given before).

You should study the new testament. That's why it's called the NEW TESTAMENT, and the other is the OLD TESTAMENT. While there are some interesting pieces in the Old T., it is a history book, of what happened leading up to Christs birth.

And Christ's death is where Christianity begins. We weren't "Christians" until we were able to be saved. We couldn't be saved until he was crusified.

For one, all Christians are not saved Jews but some persons are saved Gentiles; which I am proud to say I am one of. The Apostles under the leadership of the Holy Spirit gave us only four t hings to obey. and the Old Testament law was not one of them.

The Law, ONLY, applied to the Jews and Proselyte Jews.

every one who thinks himself that he is christian, he is not under the law since he has accepted Ya-Issue his deliverer. Deliverer Means he has been made to cross the road from one side to another side which he was unable to cross by himself within the
years of his life on this earth. if any human being gives this burdon to the one Ya-Issue who has come for the same purpose and he makes such parson free from the bur don of laws as he said I have come to fulfill the laws

That was the whole point of Jesus dieing on the cross. so we would have salvation by his sacrifice and would not have to make our own. Besides I don't think there is anything pure enough in this world today that would appease God except for an innocent newborn baby...
