Umm, ok. I am glad this validates your sense of self worth and I am sorry you don't have any friends who are willing to listen to you brag about your child's achievement.

You have to determine if it is a reading comprehension problem or a dilletant distraction problem. If she genuinely read and studied and it didn't retain or she couldn't make the connections that is learning disability problem, that often can't be corrected except through personal discovery. If she only half-hearted read, texted, was on the phone, watching TV, on the computer. Then she slacked off a bit. If she's in tears it sounds like it might be the former and that is a probablem no one but her and maturity may solved. She will have to find a method of retaining things. Some people naturally memorize with ease, for others it comes with great difficulty and it is a bio-physics problem that no one understands. Mozart could hear a piece played on an instrument once and know it instantly. Most piano students have to work on it for a year. You have to face facts your daughter is not Mozart and if she genuinely tried, I mean for real, as best as she could discipline in the wrong thing to do. She may need two years of studies to pass that test. Some people do. Why do some people need a year to get a 4 minute piano piece down when Mozart does it in 4 minutes. It is WRONG fault someone for not being MOZART All my friends who got As in high school squeeked out of college Organic Chemistry with a D or a C because the final exam was 10 pages of blank Benzine rings and you had to fill in the Hs and Cs That ended their shot at a medical career.

That's more like a statement than a question. Do they know the difference in Iowa? 99% in Iowa, that's like 50% on a national level. You must be very proud. Whats your question?

Great! Now, since you didn't ask a question like the rules say you should, (I guess you could ask your daughter how she manages to follow directions) I'll ask a question.

How will you now make sure that she achieves her full potential?
