I cannot accept Jesus 'sacrifice', that is if it was a 'sacrifice'. Coz the concept of believing that I can only get to heaven through his Death does not sit well with me. I believe that I should be held accountable for MY OWN sins and not rely on someone else's, whether he God or not, death.

I do however believe that he was a great man, prophet, that came to guide us out from our religious misconceptions. He showed us that by Loving each otha we are Loving God and by loving God we are loving each otha.

Would you accept his death as your ticket to heaven or would you rather want to prove that you are worthy by your OWN actions?

You are accountable for your own actions..... the action to beleive he died for you or not. It was more of a payment of your sins if you wish for Him to make that payment for you. Choosing not to choose is turning him down. That's like not answering all the questions on your SATs, but even though you didn't answer all of them, doesn't mean it doesn't count against you. Do get at what I'm saying? I wouldn't understand why someone would turn down the only FREE thing that is offered in this world..... salvation. Still as a believer, that doesn't mean you will be perfect and never sin again.....we are only of the flesh and human, we still make mistakes. NONE of us are even WORTHY enough to see God, unless the grace of his forgiveness has cleansed us and had faith in him until our time of judgement. What I mean is....GOD is perfect, why would he want someone who thinks they are WORTHIER than his son-JESUS to be in HIS presence. That's about the same thing Satan got casted down for.....You gettin my drift? You can't save yourself, you can't be better than HE. I'm not judging you or putting you down, I don't know you. But somebody has to slap reality into this matter. Go ahead, and try to be worthy enough to save yourself, you are only HUMAN! It's not possible to live in the perfect world God created if your covered in ugly sin. Why would he allow someone who denyed his existance, rebuked him and curse him to be in heaven? Think about it. Sin separates us from God and Jesus is our bridge. I hope you take this and open your heart and seek the truth. I hope you accept it. Seek and you will find. HE will never leave you or forsake you. I hope you don't think that I am not being mean just telling it how it is. It's best not to sugar coat the truth....it will only set you free in the end.

Without His sacrifice we would not be able to attain the reward which is heaven. We are accountable for our own actions at the same time. The way we live our lives ultimately decide weather we go to heaven or hell, but without the sacrifice of Christ's death we couldn't enter heaven. You, me, everyone are only mortals. We have no decision in this matter. Too bad how you "feel". To the infinite wisdom of God you are nothing, but he still loves you without reserve. It amazes me how many people even question this doctrine. It is proved in scripture and in the lives of the saints. Rather than sit here and think with the little reason through which you are capable, why don't you study Christianity, study the lives of the saints, realize through history and faith that Christ is God, and without his ullitmate sacrifice we would not be allowed to enter into heaven, give up you own puny thoughts on religion, and do the right thing.

oh, and whatever idiot put that comment about super glue, well, you are just an idiot.

That God let loose a Satan to tempt man to commit sins and then He sent prophet to show them the righteous path does not make any sense to me.

God could have rewarded Lucipher for the “services rendered” in some other manner. Certainly, not by letting him tempt man commit to sins.

This is like creating a problem and then solving it.

God can make every human being righteous just by wishing so. He does not have to send Prophets.

But then some may argue that it militates against the concept of free will. When giving free will to man, God knew a vast majority of mankind would commit sins.

In Islam, Jesus is a prophet like Moses, Abraham, etc. He was not son of God. And Jesus was NOT crucified, but a similitude of him.

In Christianity, the matter is very complicated. Jesus is God. If that was the case, who was He praying to to forgive his tormentors? Himself?

That Jesus had to make the ultimate sacrifice to wash off man’s sins also doesn’t make sense to me.

As you rightly say, a man should be judged by his own actions, and not by somebody else’s sacrifice.

That I am born a sinner because my great grand father to the power of n committed a sin is ridiculous.

That I am saved because of Jesus’ sacrifice is equally ridiculous

You're an idiot! You ARE held accountable for your actions! YES, you have to accept Jesus christ and then you are able to get into heaven, but even after that, you're still gonna be held accountable for your actions once you get to heaven. There is no way that you are worthy to get into heaven without him. Go ahead! Prove that you are worthy by your own actions. You will be rewarded for it in heaven. But if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior first, you won't even GET to heaven. Instead of listening to dumbasses who think that they know everything why don't you read the Bible. Don't even take MY word for it. For all you know I'm a liar who doesn't have a clue about anything in life. So go read the Bible for yourself. And when you DO read the Bible, you can't just pick and choose what you want to believe according to how it "fits" in your life and your beliefs. You either believe the Bible and have FAITH or you don't believe any of it, in which case, why even worry about how you get to heaven in the first place, right?

He gives the gift of Salvation to everyone irreguardless. You are responsible for your own sins however all it takes is one sin and your headed to hell. How then is there atonement for this becuase there is nothing you can do in and of yourself to save yourself. God being merciful has made a way for you because he is just, but he is also merciful. Even the saved will be judged and have to give an account for what they have done. Alot of people think oh I"m a Christian I am saved by grace so now I can do whatever I want...NO If any man is in Christ he is a new creature, your whole nature changes and your "fruits" you bear match thoes of Galations 5:23. You have no choice but to Rely on Christ. He set it up that way on purpose.

If you are depending on you to enter into the kingdom, I'm praying for you to be delivered from the dinial that you are living in. It is only through Christ that you will enter the kingdom, until you can accept that, you will not be accepted through those gates. Here is some proof...hope this helps.

I can see you have put a little thought into this. What is important here -if you want to be held accountable for your own sin-you must also realize that in order to pay for sins "YOU" must be blameless or sinless. God is holy. He can not co-exist with sin. I promise you -you have already sinned some where sometime. That disqualifies you for redemption. Basically you are not good enough to satisfy the requirements to pay the sin debt or penalty.
That's why God sent Jesus into the world to live a spotless life-Jesus alone is sinless. In other words He is the only one with a clean enough life to satisfy the penalty of sin.
God made it this easy for you-all you have to do (to pay for your sins) is to trust God that Jesus has payed for your sins, repent (change your mind about Him) and live an obedient life. If you fail somewhere-Jesus will pay for your failure. Its that simple-this is really why its called faith.

If I had to rely on my own good works to get to heaven, I wouldnt make it. Nobody would. There isnt anyone on this earth who hasnt sinned, except for the Lord Jesus Christ.
And since God cannot look upon sin, we all loose. I gladly accept the gift of eternal life that He offers through His Son.

Accept Him completely.

It is impossible to prove to God that you belong in heaven through your own actions. What is the measuring stick and what is the cut off? How many good works does it take? Do you measure yourself by others? We are ultimately sinful under God's sight.

Let me ask a few other questions, using the ten commandments. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen? Have you ever lusted after someone else? (Jesus stated that if you even look at another woman with lustful thoughts you have committed adultery).

That is just 3 commandments that most of us, including me, have broken. Jesus also stated that if you have broken even one of the commandments, you have broken them all.

It is not a balance scale where good works outweigh the bad ones.

Jesus was the one whose death and resurrection wipes out our sins from the sight of God.

Paul states in Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

We should have good works. We just are not saved by them.

Ok....well first off I am christian (just wanted to tell ya where this is coming from) Adam and Eve, unfortunately were the ones that gave us good and evil for what they did....so now WE are accountable for our OWN sins!! Jesus died on the cross for those sins as an act of love...if you want to go to heaven you have to accept him for who he is, and what he did for us*<3 I don't know about you, but I know when I die...I'll be with him♥
