Dorset or Devon.

Bournemouth (Dorset) Beautiful beaches and great nightlife.

Poole (Dorset) 2nd largest natural harbour in the world containing Brownsea Island where the first ever scout camping trip was held. Also has beautiful beaches, "Sandbanks" for example.

Totnes (Devon) voted one of the top ten funkiest towns in the world by British Airways. This is a good article about the town http://observer.guardian.co.uk/magazine/story/0,11913,1477931,00.html

Woolacombe (Devon) beautiful beaches and great campsites.

Depends what your interests are. Bournemouth and Poole are very fashionable resorts and have lovely beaches. Brighton is delightfully quirky and is like a British San Francisco. NW Wales has lovely scenery and beautiful coast. Cheltenham is a characterful spa town with a good deal to offer. Portsmouth & Southsea are full of surprises and are great for shopping. Newcastle is busy reinventing itself as one of the world's top 10 party cities. The Isle of Wight has been descibed as 'all England in miniature.'

And London will always be London.

Yes - Wales is great. Avoid Scotland; millions of Midges. You could try the East Coast. Maybe do a walk of part of the coastline. And make sure you eat loads of Fish and Chips!

Try wales thats nice.

If you can stretch to it then why dont you try Prague, thats lovely in the sun., or maybe Barcelona or Valencia as then you get the best of both worlds with a city on the beach!

Anywhere but Wales! Seriously though the world is literally your oyster depending on your budget, but I'd recommend Krakow in Poland, or Varna in Bulgaria.
