The government.

Sadly, the guaranteed student loans are the only ones that are easy anymore. In Milwaukee, it used to be Norwest, but they got bought out and suddently everyone who qualified couldn't anymore. I think Sallie May might be the next best one, but the trouble is it IS difficult to qualify for student loans that aren't guaranteed since the default rate is so high.

Just so you know, almost EVERYONE, no matter how good their credit, needs cosigners for these, and this is often where people get stuck. Usually you also need you or your cosigner to have been at the same job for about 2 years and at the same address for that long. If you qualify alone, you will probably have to continue working while in school to continue to qualify.

Good luck.

If you get a student loan through the FAFSA or Stafford Loan program, the company does not matter since the Federal Government is the guarantor.

I was in the same situation myself! So I went on a google hunt (I mean search ;). Eventually, I did find a site that has rated a few student lenders, and says they have checked them out. Here's the web page: http://lendersrated.com/studentloans.htm

Hope it helps you...
