God blessed his "true church" the USA and the Jews with great wealth. In the Old Testament, He blessed His people and brought the heathens to great poverty and struggels. Isn't it still the same today? Bless the Holy Mother of God.

Absolutely! God blessed Lazarus with enough riches that he didn't have to beg at the rich man's gate. God blessed Paul and Silas with mansions so they would not have to spend their time in jail. God blessed Peter with so much wealth that he could lavish the leper with it at the Gate called Beautiful. God blessed Jesus with so much wealth that he had a million places to lay his head. God blessed the disciples with so much that they never had to go fishing for tax money.

And God did bless mary, just as he would the worst sinner ever born.

That's strange!

Why would God bless the people he likes with lot of wealth, when it is easier fora camel to pass through eye of needle then for a rich man to enter kingdom of God?

I think this theory of rich people being blessed by God is flawed. I think only people who God wants to see in hell are given wealth.

No.

God does give some wealth, but he also sends trials.

Paul is a good example of that...he was beaten, shipwrecked, stoned (perhaps to death and raised again)...all for the cause of Christ.

An easy life without trials for being a Christian, to me, means you aren't really living Christ out in a way where people know you are a Christian.

Pro 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Pro 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
Pro 10:25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

The love of money is the root of all evil. When "great wealth" becomes more important to you than God, then wealth is your God.

I believe I'll keep my treasure in Heaven.

The Jewish people in Biblical times were not exactly wealthy compared to some of the other classical civilizations.

And, anywho, didn't Jesus say not to look for wealth on earth, but rather in heaven.

Yeah, okay, money is good to have and all that.

But here's where my treasure lies:

Mathew 6:20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

We do not worry about money, it's easy to get just by following Biblical principles. But the real treasure, the forever stuff, is in heaven. Enjoy your day! :)

The truest wealth the Lord has blessed us with is our Children. Have you ever met people who asks you how much money you have? People will often ask how many children you have, They are your wealth.

Mary has nothing to do with anything, but God's Word does.

The scriptures below are talking about Abraham's descendants, The Jews, and those that become Children of Abraham by faith in Jesus.

Genesis 12:3
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Genesis 27:29
May nations serve you
and peoples bow down to you.
Be lord over your brothers,
and may the sons of your mother bow down to you.
May those who curse you be cursed
and those who bless you be blessed."

Numbers 24:9
Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse them? "May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!"

Also

Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the LORD be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.

Red Dog Luke,

God does not prescribe, instigate, sponsor, or assign trials on us. They come from the adversary, the devil.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Do you think we should pray for God to put a devastating sickness on you so you could learn to be a better person?
