First love hurts the most because the first time is all new, we have no experience to compare it to and we don't see the warning signs that we do later on.
The coping mechanisms that help us deal with break ups aren't known to us so dealing with heartache is harder
Relationship breakups will always hurt but in time we know how best to get through the pain, and can carry on with life easier.

Because either you were too young to handle the experience or because you haven't experienced other love and other hurt again. The first love is not the deepest thing there is and love gets better. And yes people all over the world give themselves to someone new. The ones who don't just never grow up. You can get over it. It's not the pathetic crap in story books and people are just drama queens.

Because for the first time in your life you are experiencing all those feelings for one person. When it ends the hurt you feel is so painful that when you truly love again you fear giving your all.

Maybe because it is a new experience, new feelings, a different kind of pain that you have not felt before, and you don't yet know how to deal with it. Trust me, though, you do get over it. My first love married a college friend that I introduced her to and i was best man.

because as its the first time u r experiencing it u dont really know what to expect and u belive its so great that it wont go wrong. Second time u fall in love u know more what to expect and are more prepared
