no, it is not against the law to cheat on a boyfriend or girlfriend...however, it is against the law in many local and state communities to cheat on a wife or husband, but these laws are rarely enforced...

It's not against the law no, it's just against morals and your own conscience when you cheat. However, it is against the law to cheat when a man and a woman are married. If they're not bound by marriage, it's not illegal to cheat. But something to remember always: cheating is unjustifiable under any circumstances and the person being cheated on deserves so much better than that.
