I watch my grandsons in the summer when there is no school. But I also take care of my mother in law who has alzheimers. In the fall the kids will go back to school all day. My mother in law is not a very nice person sometimes, but my husband depends on me to watch her when he's working. I'm 55 and I have been home watching her, she lives with us, I have been watching her for nearly two years. My husband supports me very well financially, but I just feel like I would do better for myself if I had a real job. I don't know what the work force is like out there anymore for a person my age.

I would talk to your husband about finding a visiting nurse to come by and take care of your mother-in-law. Then... go register with a Temp agency. There are a lot of them out there. It gives you the chance to get back into the work force and find what you really want to do.

As for your age... that should not make a difference to a company that is looking for the right fit. Again, Temp agencies are good for this.

Good luck!!!

It is very hard to have so many pple depend on you. You need to talk to your husband. I don't think it would be a bad idea for you to get a part time job. Maybe you could find something at the school and that way you would be off whenever the kids are out of school. Good luck to you!
