Is it worse to lose bf or gf to death, or to another person. In death, they're gone forever, but when you lose them to another person, you have to live with knowing that they just didn't want you. I've experienced both and can't decipher which hurts more.

Although i have never lost a boyfriend to death, i would still have to say death would hurt much more then losing him to another person although that hurt is bad as well!!!!If you lose a bf to death you will never know what the future had in store for the 2 of u,it's so final, and u know there will never be a future with him just memories from the past!!!!!If you lose a bf to another woman there's still the chance that in the future he will realize what a good thing he had with you and will come back to you because they say you never know how good you have it untill you got it no more, that's why when men leave for another women or some other reason a lot of the time they will come crawling back weeks, months and maybe ever years down the road!!!!!So i would much rather lose the person to another woman, that pain will heal with time!!!!!I wouldn't want anything to happen to any of my ex's now, like getting badly hurt, killed or death and i don't even keep in contact with most of them but it would still hurt me deeply because once you love a person you will have feelings for them for life, you can't just shut off your feelings for someone just because u find someone new!!!!!Everyone i ever loved holds a place in my heart and if they died a part of me would die right along with them!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you lost someone to death and someone to somebody else. Its hard i realize.

Honestly I have pondered this sometimes and honestly i don't really know.

I mean you lose someone to death and you know you won't see that person again. Can never talk to them and the pain is just too real.

On the other hand losing someone to somebody else you feel down because they didn't want you and you may have to see that person with this someone else. That can be hard. Plus the thought that you werent good enough can hurt.

All in all I think its a pesonal decision for everyone.

Sorry again about your loss and if you want to chat sometime about it feel free.

To me, it hurts more when you lose them to another person, because that's rejection of the worst kind. That person, not in words, but in actions, is telling you they don't want you any more . They have used you all they want to, and when you no longer serve a position in their life , they are through with you. It hurts, then, and for years to come. In death, that person did NOT choose to leave you, or reject you. They died!

It doesnt matter how u lose someone..it still hurts a lot..the hurt gets lesser and lesser with time but the wound always remains..
whenever u think of that person the wound reminds u that its still there in ur heart...all we can do is to try to cope with it and move on....

I think that losing your gf/bf to someone else is worse. If they died, you can live knowing that they loved you till the day they died. That'd make me happy.

Both are equally wrenching, but I would assume to another person, as you just may see them on the strteets, hand in hand, billing and cooing
